Feria Internacional del Libro de Guadalajara
25 November – 3 December 2023
Welcome to Germany’s official participation at the Guadalajara International Book Fair 2023!
The German Pavilion is presented by Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action in cooperation with AUMA, the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry, organized by LMI Leipziger Messe International and supported by Frankfurter Buchmesse, a subsidiary of the German Publishers & Booksellers Association (Börsenverein des Deutschen Buchhandels).
Germany is participating in this book fair because of the many possibilities for cultural and economic exchange.
New contemporary fiction, non-fiction, academic, educational and scientific titles, children’s and teenage publications, architecture, audio books, cartography, map data service provider and more will be on show.
Personal contacts with the German publishing industry, information on the Frankfurter Buchmesse and exchange with the international book market: the German Pavilion does so much more than simply inviting you to discover the contemporary editorial panorama in Germany.
Reading a book is still one of the most popular leisure activities in Germany. And of course reading is linked to the wish for lifelong learning.
On behalf of all exhibitors, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry and the supporting association wish all participants a successful show and extend a warm welcome to all visitors of the German Pavilion at the International Area, stand II 1 / HH 2.

Every year, the foreign trade fair programme comprises around 250 trade fair participations worldwide. At www.german-pavilion.com you will find an overview of the current and planned German Pavilions.
The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) decides on, and supports, official participations in the Federal Republic of Germany's international trade fairs and exhibition programme. In addition to policy and budgetary issues, the active involvement in the presentation of Germany at international fairs and exhibitions is of prime importance. In a constant dialogue with private-sector partners, the division for international / national trade fairs and exhibitions of the ministry backs the export activities of German industry on international markets.
Furthermore, the "fairs and exhibitions division" is concerned with planning and implementing German participation in world expositions abroad and with major political issues regarding fairs and exhibitions in Germany.
The Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA) represents the interests of the trade fair industry on a national and international level in dealings with parliament, ministries, authorities and other organisations.
The association organises the official German trade fair programme abroad in close cooperation with the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) and the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture.
As part of this programme, the Federal Government provides financial assistance for German participations at foreign events, but also for independent presentations by German industry abroad.
