The Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom is Germany’s foundation for liberal politics. It is a political non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting a renewed appreciation of liberalism as a philosophy by fostering democracy, the market economy, the rule of law, and human and civil rights.

The Naumann Foundation’s work is based on the democratic education of responsible citizens, political advice for leaders, international political dialogue, and collaboration with partner organizations to promote development and advance strategies that generate liberal proposals for the progress of the countries in which we work. These efforts emphasize the importance of an informed and engaged society while promoting the value of freedom, the virtues of liberal democracy, respect for individual rights, and the institutions that uphold democracy and the rule of law.
